We are proud to share a key achievement in the CRYOSTAR programme: the arrival of the ATR 72 test rear fuselage at our Casoria facility. This marks a critical step forward in the development and validation of next-generation cryogenic storage systems for future aircraft.
🔹 Certification leadership: Novotech plays a central and active role in CRYOSTAR, being responsible for defining the certification roadmap for crashworthiness of fuselage integrated cryogenic tanks—a fundamental enabler for the safe adoption of hydrogen technologies in aviation.
🔹 Manufacturing & integration: Novotech will lead the manufacturing and integration of both inner and outer tanks, derived from the COCOLIH2T programme, leveraging advanced expertise in composite structures and cryogenic applications. Scope includes the complete integration and installation of the tank system within the test fuselage, which will be specifically modified to enable a full-scale crash test of the entire test section with the tank installed—a decisive system-level validation step.
