Global strategic partnership between 19-01 Holding and NOVOTECH Aerospace Advanced Technology (a Southern Italian company with operational plants in Casoria, NA, and Avetrana, TA) combines the unique know-how in the field of aerial firefighting and the experience in aircraft design and certification of the 19-01 Holding team with NOVOTECH’s expertise in the integration of design methods and advanced manufacturing technologies from the aerospace and naval sectors. The goal of this collaboration is to contribute to the design of the modern WF-X, an innovative and revolutionary multi-role amphibious aircraft that will serve as a central solution for the future fight against forest fires.
Specifically, NOVOTECH will be responsible for supporting the development of technology readiness, the preliminary definition of structural architecture, detailed structural design development, the design and manufacturing of wind tunnel and tank models, small-scale functional models, support for defining the test plan for development and certification, as well as the aeroelastic and acoustic design of the aircraft.

NOVOTECH has proven capability in design and manufacturing composite structures, based on low cost and out-of-autoclave automated production processes (such as AFP, PCM, RTM, CF and LRI). The Company can count on researchers and highly skilled qualified engineers for the development and manufacturing of composite prototypes with complex shapes and variable thickness, based on advanced design methodologies for draping, formability and composite warpage prediction.
